Hi,

There is savage good whisky deals in Waitrose at the moment. I took a drive down to my local Waitrose here in Edinburgh yesterday and picked up the following:

Aberlour Abunadh batch 26 - £24.00
Caol Ila 12 year old - £24.00
Aberlour 16 Double Cask - £25.00
Redbreast 12 year old - £22.00

Great deals on other malts including laphraoig QC, Bowmore, Dalwinnie 15 year old........

very happy indeed....

Co Op have Macallan FO 10 year old for just over £18.

Aberlour 10, half price at Booths (from £26.99 to £13.49) from tomorrow. No problem finding it in store, as there should be a big display of it as you walk in. Though once it's gone, there probably won't be any for quite a while, judging by the amounts I saw on the allocation list.

Unfortunately our local Booth's only stocks Glenlivet 12, Glenmo Original, Glenfiddich 12 and Old Pulteney 12.

But thanks, I'll have a look anyway.

Ah, Normoss. Teeny tiny store. Bad luck. Still, you can always ask them to get you a bottle or two (anything can be sent to another store within one day). Or you can go to Haven Road store in Lytham where they probably have plenty. Half price Aberlour only lasts until Wednesday, though.

Marks & Sparks doing Deanston 12yo 46.3% unfiltered no artificial colour for £20.99. Rare to see any brands sold in M&S. We sell this for £30.30.

They used Deanston as house malt in special gift box last year.

Had a look at Waitrose today, and was spoilt for choice. They have some excellent offers on. I ended up with the Aberlour 16yo for £23.99. They also had the A'Bunadh, batches 27 and 28 which I might have to go back for soon.

It's not the 46.3% UCF in M&S - just the 40% one which is exclusive to M&S AFAIK, shame really.

I also got a bottle of 18 year old Glen Marnoch at Aldi yesterday for the same price. I'd never heard of it before, but tried a drop last night, and it was very pleasant. Certainly worth the price.

I had to pick up another bottle of this today, as my previous one has nearly all gone.

I've got a fair old selection in at home at the moment, but I am really enjoying this one. A great everyday whisky at a brilliant price.

I think he is saying that it is in the Co-op and that the particular store he went in was a Somerfield but has been rebranded a Co-op (the Co-operative Group bought Somerfield a while ago and are rebranding them one at a time rather than on mass).

The M&S in Livingstone has the 46.3% Deanston. They did the 40% last year in a wooden box.

I paid 35 Euro's in July for such a bottle in the (only) local whisky shop. I knew it was an expensive one but this is just too much.

Yep, I'm not sure where you are, but all three of the Leicester ASDA stores have it in; my wife bought me some recently for my birthday.

Local Sainsburys had Blackbush for £14 ,Monkey Shoulder for £18 Glenrothes Select for about £23 (i think !) and there own Speyside, Highland and Islay 12yr olds in new packaging for £18. Would be interested know what these could be and has anybody tried them ? (any good?).Picked up a Blackbush as haven't tried it for a few years.

Caol Ila Cask Strenght £32 in Waitrose (£9 off). Having checked out lots of positive reviews on these forums I'll be off to acquire some tomorrow!
