Oh well, hopefully there'll be plenty more to keep us occupied.

Hey Aidan. Let us know if those distilleries let people have a bottling of a "cherry-picked" cask like the Valinch!

Hi Aidan,

I was at Auchentoshan the day before yesterday ! Had a great "private" tour (arrived at 16.45 pm, distillery tours close at 16 pm). They sure will tell you about the coming, very limited marketing (in november) of two new Auchentoshans with a sherry finish. The shop too is nice. Have fun on your trip !

Jeroen - We met Christine on the ferry. I don't know her, but she gave everyone a hug. Very warm and friendly lady.

I went with an industry tour - Morrison Bowmore really pull out all the stops. I thought the Auchentoshan three wood was very nice. Had some exceptional Bowmores...

Thanks Xavier

I did have a great trip. Excelent tours of the distilleries, great fun all around.

Well we met her on the boat and later briefly with a Scandinavian gentleman at the distillery. I assume she still works there.

I should have asked to see her P45. I did not even know who the lady was until Jeroen mentioned her. I don't know her role or former role at the distillery.

I think anyone who visitted Bowmore when she was around knows who she was =) She made an excellent welcome for any people vistitting the distillery, and more then once I've seen people baffled by the way she welcomed them (I remember one Japanese boy who got a hug and really didnt knew what was happening to him).

She was with someone who was described as a Sweedish whisky hero, but I don't now who he was.
