Makes for damn good reading. Think it's only available in Canada though.

Looks interesting. If the linked website doesn't ship to the U.S. it looks like the author maintains a website of his own. It could also be a good reference for the WVU student on another thread.

They sell essences that you put into Vodka that tastes like Whisky.......... or Gin or Rye or Rum. The list goes on and on!

Yup, I just found out. They do ship into the U.S. That particular book anyway.

hello Big M. Yes, that would make sense. The clear, almost tasteless vodka is prepped up with essences to give the impression of whisky gin or rum.
Methinks Mylord, I do miss the point somewhere.
If I can carry with me a bottle of vodka and the essence to make meself a gin, why would I not carry a bottle of gin with me in the first palce? And so on.
Anyway, stranger things have happened. Thank you for the information, Big M.

Me dear, you MAKE your own vodka. Vodka is always a base, then you flavour it with whatever essence you want.

Hi there,

oh yes of course I MAKE my own vodka. Right. I quite forgot that. Wasn´t there something about ilicit distilling? In my country it is frowned upon not to say the prosecutor is very interested in such dealings.
May be that is why I did not think of that from the beginning. :lol:
