Did anyone else see Iain Banks on the BBC Celebrity Mastermind program the other day? Specialist subject of Scotch and Scotlands Distilleries. Seemed to do quite well to start but I missed the final scores....

Matt - he won with a score of 22 (12 on whisky).
He also, on the same night, captained a team of writers to win a celebrity University Challenge. Whisky, it would appear, is good for the brain!

On the same note Rebus, the Ardbeg swilling Scots detective returned to the TV screen last night with a cameo role for his creator.

i was lucky enough to see it myself im glad he won but it didnt start well got the glenfiddich question wrong said benriach but he saved himself and gave a good account of himself

i beat his whisky score by one but was five short in the general knowledge round

all i can say is he semmed a very nice person

Must have missed something along the way , only saw him with pints in his hands ..... LVMH musn't have crossed enough palms :wink:

No Ardbeg on Rebus but a bottle of the Big A! spotted on "Sea of souls" on the other side (excuse the pun !)
