I've met MrFjeld!! He's the one I credit for signing me up and getting me going here! I sure will be contacting you folks whenever I travel to your destination. I was going to contact the member in Santa Cruz, CA. when I was back visiting in March, but I think he was travelling too. And too bad Mark Gillespie didn't make it over to the WOW Expo in San Franciso last month, would've been nice to meet him. Do say hello whenever you're in Bergen, Norway!

I had the pleasure of meeting Nick Brown and Crieftan during last October's trip to Scotland at one of the world's great whisky bars, The Bow Bar. At the first, of hopefully many, Victoria Whisky Festival I met Lawrence, WestVanDave, Wendy, and BadMonkey. As indicated previously, Mr. TH has been tolerating me for years, and vice versa.

One of the truly nice things about these forums has been the opportunity to meet some great people. Here's to meeting many more!

I've met Sir Lawrence, Mr. T., Ron, BadMonkey, HPulley (now Sir Harry in my books), Frodo and Wendy... and to paraphrase Mr. T. and MuskyPete - Wendy is the one to meet (I can see her blushing now)...

It's been a great pleasure to meet, chat and imbibe with fellow "Forumners" - and even dispel some of the rumours that we're a crazy, obsessed lot...

Well, I obviosly know Jonathan - who is also responsible for introducing me to Ardbeg Ten and hence ignited my whisky fanatism. I will hopefully have the pleasure of meeting more people from the forum later on - and if work permits maybe some of you norwegian members at the next whisky festival in Oslo!

As mentioned above, I spent a very enjoyable evening in the company of Mr Tattiehead, Ron and Rob in the Bow Bar last September.

Have yet to meet anyone from the forum, but will likely change that when I travel to Europe in a year or two. Just a thought, what about trying to organize a few local annual meeting places. One chapter in North America could be centrally located, say Kansas City or maybe meet up at next years Whiskyfest in Chicago. Plenty of time to work out the details. I travel hundreds of miles to locate some bottles, might as well locate a bottle AND some new friends to share it with.

I've met no one on the forum (except for Johnny Fubar who is a friend, but doesn't post here too often). Since I'm only 30mins away from Mr. TH, I hope to meet up with him at some point during my local whisky travels. I'll also be in London & Ireland over the summer, and Scotland the next summer/fall- so who knows who I might meet there.

Thanks for reminding me - I have met David Stirk, but he doesn't post here anymore, I don't think. He gave a very interesting talk on Cadenhead whiskies...

I think David is a bit busy these days, trying to get his own line of whiskies on to the marked - The Creative Whisky Company.

The ones I've had have all been quite quaffable.

Unfortunately I have not had the good fortune of meeting anyone from the forum yet.

Virginia Gentleman, my wife and I bought a house in VA last December and will most likely be returning this summer for a short trip to visit family and check on the house. If possible maybe we can meet up and share a few drams.

Let's see...I came within 5 miles of Mr. TattieHeid last fall when he was in the area for a hockey tournament, but we never could figure out the schedule...I was in the same room as Scotch Blog and a few others at Whisky Live in NYC earlier this month, and Virginia Gentleman stopped last week at a liquor store I frequent...

In other words...no...

Yeah we're sure comfy cosy up here. It may snow at any minute until June. Wanna come up and learn how to make snowmen? My disappointment this month was being in the same urban sprawl as Frodo et al and not meeting them at a Thursday night whisky function (due to filial responsibilities).
