At the Vaults in Leith August 15th

Postby Lawrence » Sat Jun 03, 2006 2:22 am

I will be at the SMWS Vaults in Leith the evening of August 15 and once again for an early lunch on the 16th.

If you are visiting or live in Edinburgh please let me know so we can arrange to meet for a few drams.

That would be great Lawrence, but I'll be there a few weeks later! It would be nice if you posted afterwards with whisky recommendations and a mini review of lunch.

I can get return airfare from Boston 14-17 August for $1700. Are you buying lunch?

Will do, in the past the food has always been exceptional.

I think Ron and I may join you, but we'll probably be two months or so late. Will you wait?

Hi Lawrence ,
don't know if you'd noticed but Robin Laing is on at the Queen Street branch that night . there are a few things going on at the SMWS around that time in association with the fringe . They are showing Whisky Galore a few times as well.

St Lawrence and St Nick in the same place...the mind boggles! Wish I could join you. Ron and I will be in one evening, 20, 21, or 22 October. We will be sure to look under the tables to see if Nick is still there.

I hope I am not a disappointment - I do worry about being overhyped.

:D Don't worry, we'll have 'dram' goggles on, it'll be fine!

Please don't drink it all guys! Save some for me! I'll be there a few weeks later and I hope to find some good things left. In fact, if you would post some favorites or things I shouldn't miss tasting, that would be nice, thanks! And have fun!
