The bald bobby doesn't look too happy with you Les - good action shot - there isn't anything in the news about this so I assume no-one was hurt?

It was on the lunchtime regional news. I guess that's why you didn't see it. Sky had good coverage of it. Pictures from the Skycopter etc. The good news is no injuries. But the location has made everybody twitchy.

On a nice day, you can see the Paps (and my elbow) reflected in the stills. Wish they'd polish 'em up a bit more, though.

Aye, there's nowt worse than unpolished Paps.

Thanks for that pic Willie! I visited Dalwhinnie 5 years ago while I was still using photofilm. A beautiful distilley in an equally beautiful location, I took the train up from Perth direct to Dalwhinnie and back again specially for that distillery which at that time was one of my favorite single malts!

All these pictures do make me wish I was back again, but I just get to reminisce about it until May when I return for my further adventures (4th) of "the whisky trails", desination: Speyside!

Moving on to the Lowlands. I called in to Auchentoshan as I was passing by it last year. I came out with a couple bottles of 12yo.

The lad working in the shop was so cheerful I really wanted to buy stuff from him and ended up with a water jug (I had a pub, I really didn't need any more water jugs!) and a metal bookmark (also something I didn't need).

Lots of really great shots there, good eye WhiskyBrat! I think the day I finally ferry in to Islay, and I see some of these beautiful things, my eyes will be filled with tears of joy!!

DB when you get the chance to go, make sure you have time to visit Jura. It is really such an incredibly different atmosphere to Islay that you shouldn't miss it.

Oh yeah there were fumes. They really didn't care much for us trying to move them off the road and they expressed their opinions from both ends.
