Thank you borgom! We also had crayfish for starters (didn't take pic' of those as they didn't differ much from the ones I posted earlier). Me and Mrs. Chef should've celebrated our fourth wedding anniversary last thursday but work had to intrude so we did it wednesday instead.

Indeed it is dramtastic! But there wont be much of a moose hunt this year, the goverment has only alloted us one calf this year (you hardly see calves as the mother stand still protecting them and let the male act as bait). I do understand that they will be extinct if you shoot to many of them so it's for the greater good, Still I'm mad, I even put in for vacation this year.

If you and the missus ever make it to Fucking Åmål I'd be more than happy to serve you some moose.

Just came back from visitin relatives living at an alpine resort in at the mouintain plateau - or roof of Norway as we like to call it. Had a brisk walk lasting for a few hours and it was lovely. Incredibly windy so it would be too dangerous to climb the mountain ridge called Hallingskaret. Nevertheless, it was wonderful.

A nice overview of what is only a small part of the area. If you look closely you'll se a mountain farm to the middle left in the picture to appreciate how enormous the area is.

This cute little goat followed us for a long time. He certainly wansn't going to be stopped by the fence. Makes you think why bother at all to close the gates:


It's amazing what one can find up there in the mountains.

Cool car! I saw an advert for a 2CV years and years ago which listed all the features such as 'central locking - you can reach all four doors from the drivers seat' and 'Reliable - there's nothing to go wrong!'

Cool car!? I spent almost three torturous weeks driving one of these around France. I took it back to Citroen a few days before my rental plan was up just so I could get away from it. Uncomfortable, worst gear change ever, almost tipped over around every corner, couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding and stalled going up anything that even looked like a mountain(and there's plenty of them in France). Even the fuel economy wasn't that great because you always had to have your foot flat to the floor just to keep up with traffic on the freeway or go up a 1 degree incline.

Thanks Klas - and you are right, it is indeed very close to Geilo. You can drive almost up to Hallingskarvet by car (let me know and I'll post you the "instructions" ) . If you plan on doing this in winter you will have to go by ski. It's a magnificent place - hope you'll like it!

It was a fantasitic trip. In truth we would have been happy to have made camp in Argentina for another six months, but alas the mortgages need paying and work calls. Reality does suck sometimes.

To top it off this is how they pour a single measure of whisky in Argentina. Caol Ila 18, cost about US$12 and by my reckoning was at least 120ml.

After I saw the photo of the Citroen, I thought you might be interested in seeing my latest acquisition - a 1998 Chevy 3/4 Ton 4x4. Mrs Musky asked if I'd like to go and find a truck for moving construction materials, garbage runs and a bit of off road driving. This is what I found and bought:

Rides like a truck, not like those SUV's that think they are cars. With an 8 cylinder Vortec engine it can pull pretty much anything I choose. The down side, is that it really likes gasoline. Pretty much punches a hole in my whisky budget for the forseeable future.

Thanks, Dazy really enjoys riding in it, there're nose prints all over the windows! I have to give her a boost up into the cab but once she's up there, she's almost as happy as the owner.

Had our first snowfall this weekend and I didn't even notice it, the truck has such terrific traction.
