I can get a bottle of Glenrothes 1978/1999 for 90 Euro. Is it worth it? Anybody knows this whisky? Thank you.

Glenrothes is a wonderfully smooth and delightful whisky - I love it, especially any bottling of over 17 years old malt.

Hi there,

the 1978 vintage is one of the rarest Glenrothes. I think only 3500 bottles or therabouts were filled. If you can get it for 90 € buy it. It is very good and becoming a collectors item.

90 € is a very good prize! Kallaskander is right. Their just released 3500 Bottles.
Cross the fingers for you. This is a very good Single Malt. More Info you can find on my german glenrothes webpage. I apologize this page is in german, but a lot of Tastingnotes are in english, too!
