Just picked up a bottle of this for list price ina shop in London. I tell a lie, I actually traded a bottle of something else of the same value for it as I have been wiped out by my trip to Islay! We had a dram of the Longrow 18 while we were there as a friend kindly opened his bottle. He told us they still had it in one of the shops on the island for £90, but when we got the next day they had just sold the last bottle.
I shlept around the obvious places in London yesterday and found a place with 2 bottles left, at just over £90 a bottle. Didn't have the money but they took the exchange, which was good of them (I think the bottle they took will take a slightly lower rise in value, but still a good one none-the-less, and it was a bottle that I had returned with 2 of from Islay). I was pleased with the swap.
This is an awesome whisky. I see whiskyfun give it 5 stars, and quite right. An excellent dram.
