Glenmorangie goes large

Seems like the folks at Glenmorangie Plc are fond of big bottles:

3-liters of Glenmorangie Original with a fancy stand to go with it.

Well... Glenmorangie Plc has one distillery that has yet to release a great, big bottle. So the next one might be a Methuselah (6-litres) PET of Glen Moray?

3 liters seems too big. I'm usually ready for a change of pace after a standard 70 cl bottle.

That is quite cool Les .....

.....I still don't understand why some one would pay £900 on ebay for what is essentially 6.5 bottles of 10yo :?

That is so incredibly lame
I used to be a big Glenmo fan, but everything they've done since the LVMH takeover has changed this :(

Just to be picky the Mór wasn't exactly 6,5 bottles 10YO. First it was a mix of old TEN and new TEN (pre and post Glenmorangie), and bottled at cask strength.

That said, £900 is a bit off the rocker.

If people are going to be picky about the Mor i suggest they check the facts first like bottling date ( early 2007) , when Glenmo recommenced distilling at Ardbeg ( late June 1997) , then do some maths....

Another day in whisky land, another goddamn-ugly marketing ploy. Yuck. You could stand that up straight with a mirror in it in the dressing room of Blackpool Tower for Chris Biggins to do his makeup in.

The price on "the original" has sky rocketed in the Chicagoland area. It is up to $40 a bottle now basically everywhere. One liquor store near me has it on sale until the end of July for $27. Tempting

If they follow your suggestion BP, then the third will be the Glen Mór-ay, except in Canada where it will be the Glen Mór-eh. :P

You know, this kind of reminds me of one of the space vehicles in Star Wars. The one where the ship joins up with the round object for hyperspace flight. Maybe we can market it to that group. SW episode 7, The Glenmo Experience.

Also would like to note W.Vikings avatar.

And an aid when pouring a dram - I think it rotates somehow and keeps the bottle stable.

Hey Willie good news, you inspired me. I've got my lights working. It was the plug adaptor/transformer thing. I have another one and it works great now. Can't wait to see it in the dark later. :)
