Well i had write Asian whiskies and Polynesia is in Asia right? But people can also write here like you did! you know i could not put more than 25 on the list and not so long words, forum rules i guess, i will also for example had put:

Organic Hand-Craftet CaskStrength without caramel Non chil filtered, Double or Triple or Quadruple wood Single Malt!

Any way i dont know if there is any whisky in the world that are that?

1. Canadian Whisky really deserves to be distinguished from its American counterparts.

2. Yes, I am Canadian.

3. There's simply no way I could choose any 5 alternatives from the list provided.

4. Variety IS the spice of life!

I think 100point has a thing for cask strength, no caramel, non chill filtered, multiple wood singel malts!

I's love to vote for Irish Pure Pot Still but it aint there.

I was going to suggest Martian whisky, but I didn't want the thread to descend to the level of absurdity.

Joe? Is that you? Hey, how are Jimmy, Suzie, and Sally?

I voted for Greenland whisky, because I'm pretty sure there's no such thing, just as I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as "best whisky in the world".

The best whiskey in the world is the one you haven't tasted yet!

or

The best whiskey in the world is the one towards the end of a great night that you want to keep going, you think you've nothing left in the house and then, there you find it, a bottle at the back of the cupbouard you though was gone. The world's best whiskey!

In this Homepage we can read:

"Ardbeg Uigeadail received 97.5 points out of 100, the highest rating ever awarded by Mr Murray." So 2,5 points more it is then a perfect whisky right?

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/scotland/7718735.stm

Then it can be the best in the world right, according to Mr Murray right?

So then it can be really such thing as the best Whisky in the World! Why not just like there is one best thing for many things why not Whisky?

Also here http://www.ardbeg.com/ we can read:

Ardbeg Supernova

The best whisky in the world is now out of this world!

Any way many people seems to be like blind sometimes about Single Malts and think single is better than blend , Jim Murray said:

"I think both these whiskies have core markets in Japan. To be honest, British drinkers just don't have a good enough choice when it comes to blended Scotch. We are going through a golden age for blends right now but, for the majority of drinkers here, you'd never know it. The truly classic blends like Old Parr Superior and White Horse 12 are export brands and you have to travel a long way to savour them. It's time the marketing people - and whisky retailers - were a bit braver and made them as mainstream as the single malts which are flooding the shelves."

Didn't Mr. Murray also give an Ardbeg 10 a 97 the previous year? I know I've had more than a dozen better Ardbegs than the best Ardbeg 10-Go see the Maniacs article regarding Ardbeggedon X and the tasting.

I'm voting for Antartic whisky even though they don't make a non-chill filtered.

The Best whisky in the world ? as in "my mom is better than yours ?"

I can't answer that, there is no answer... so I'd go for Antartica too but with tons of caramel !

The best whisky in the world is the whisky that sells the most...because more people buy it.

Which is it?

:?:

PS...

The whiskies I've seen all over the world are Canadian Club, Johnnie Walker Red and Jack Daniels. Of this lot, I'll take the Gentleman Jack.

Of international brands (i.e excluding local Indian producs for example that sell for €1) the international ranking I believe is as follows. Blends are where the whiskeys are sourced form multiple locations and bottled as one brand, Single Distillery refers to where one distillery produces all of the content on one site (As per Single Malts). The following list is industry recognised.

1. Johnny Walker 14.4 million (Blend, Red and Black, all variants)
2. JAck Daniels 9.7 million (Single Distillery, all versions)
3. Ballantines 6.2 million (Blend, All versions)
4. Jim Beam 5.3 million (Single Distillery, all versions)
5. J&B 5.3million (Single Distillery, All versions)
6. Crown Royal, 5.2million (Blend, all versions)
7. Grants Whiskey 4.7 million (Blend, all versions)
8. Chivas Regal 4.5million cases (Blend, all versions)
9. Dewars 3.5 million cases (Blend, all versions)
10. Famous Grouse 3.1million cases (Blend, all versions)
11. Jameson 2.6million cases (Single Distillery, all verisions)

The Number one selling Singel Malt is I believe Glenfiddich with The Glenlivet being No1 in the USA.

The World's number one selling Pure Pot Still is of course Redbreast.

brands excluded from the list above are, Bagpiper, McDowells, Original Choice Indian, Officers Choice, Royal Stag, Directors Special, Suntory, Jagatjit, Imperial Blue, 8pm.

Thus the best whiskeys in the world by category in 1st, 2nd and 3rd;
Blend - 1st. Johnny Walker, Ballantines, 3rd J&B
Single Distillery - 1st. Jack Daniels, 2nd. Jim Beam, 3rd. Jameson
Single Malt - 1st. Glenfiddich, 2nd. The Glenlivet, 3rd. The Macallan

Argument sorted.

Cheers
