While I voted for the HP12/GL15, it really does depend upon your preference of the 12 over the 18. I don't greatly prefer the 18 over the 12. I may even prefer the 12 straight up. If you really like the Glenlivet 15, it then becomes a no brainer as you now get a variety. Something that features heather honey and smoke and something that is lighter citrus allowing you whiskies for two different occasions.

That's the whole key to this equation.

Much as I treasure HP18, the option to garner two bottles of very good whisky rather than a mere single seems rather attractive, no?

I'm assuming you've had all three before and liked them. If so, I would suggest that two is definitely better than one.

For me personally, the Glenlivet is undesirable so I'd go with the HP18.

My instincts too. Rather have one excellent whisky than two good ones.

I voted HP 18 because how often are you going to go out and buy one? You will more likely buy one of the HP12 or Glenlivit 15 first (or on a more regular basis) as they are cheaper. So if you get a chance for a more expensive treat bottle - GO FOR IT!
