possible consideration running contrary to this recommendation, in my mind at least, is that the Oban usually costs significantly more in my neck of the woods than does the a'bunadh. You'll have to judge the relative cost merits as regards your local pricing on this comparison, however, before deciding.
That said, I look on Oban 14 Year Old as a whisky that's not quite what it COULD
be, while the a'bunadh is, 100%, WHAT IT IS, if you get my drift.
