This is difficult as they are very different whiskies and mood, like was suggested by Willie, would be the determining factor here. I guess if I had to choose I would go with the a'bunadh, but only because I tend to like sherried whiskies.

Haven't bought an Abunadh for A while, partly due to the batch variation, but heavily sherried whiskies tend to become a bit if a one trick pony for me, though I loved the abunadh when I first sampled it(circa b.13) and had a few since.

I';ve had 3 bottles of Nadurra, all tje 57.7% batch and loved every drop. In some ways more interesting and complex than the Abunadh. Less in yer face, less overtly sweet, more delicate, but nonetheless very interesting.

BTW anyone got any notes on Abunadh b28? seems like Waitrose's current batch

But when push comes to shove, the Nàdurra just edges out the a'bunadh for me...

I love both of these whiskeys so much it's like trying to decide between children. In the end though I voted for Nadurra as I find that I can drink it whenever (hot or cold outside) where as the Abunadh I can not drink when it is hot outside.

I have gone for the Nadurra and entirely agree with much of what has been said above.

The crispness and lightness of the Nadurra just does it for me.

I really get the minty freshness identified by the late Michael Jackson in his tasting notes.

It is delicious.

The Abunadh is still very good though.

I believe there is a whole thread here somewhere. My personal opinion (have had around 18 different batches) is for 14, 22 and 29.

I'm not sure I could make the difference between batches. I've had A'bunadh regularly for a good while and I always love its ginger, cherry flavours.
It's a very tough choice. I love Glenlivet in general but I admit Nadurra is a bit surprising, the first time. Yet, I still love it. I agree with what was said: the Nadurra's body is not as full and the palate not as sweet; it's crispier and fresh.
If I had to make a choice, it would probably be A'bunadh, because it's so special. Then again, maybe this was the intention of the OP, to put for a choice two very particular, surprising whiskies. I think what I like above anything about the A'bunadh, it's those flavours you don't find in any other whisky; it's just one of its kind.
