How many ounces of SMS do you drink in a typical given day?

I'm in good health, but my physician says that the recommended daily intake of alcohol should be not more than 2 or 3 ounces. I usually drink 3-4 ounces each evening, usually 6-7 days/week.

When you drink SMS, how much do you typically drink?

Are US ounces identical to UK ounces?

Nothing for fourteen days, then two or three Scottish doubles (i.e.70ml each) for twenty one days...

So I put myself down for an average of 3 ounces per day

After some math I figure I'm at 2 ounces a day. Although sometimes I don't drink whisky but beer.

Beer ounces don't count...on the grounds that beer is a soft drink that contains only incidental alcohol...

I don't know. Generally I have whisky Thursday evenings. Occasionally Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Any other time is usually because of an event. I would guess at an average of 2 oz.

This is a thread of lies. We've been asked to lie about how much we consume, and we are all telling fibs! So in the spirit of things i'm drinking a pub measure per night -

In my youth easily over 5! These days it's a lot less, 1 ounce at best.

Let's not get technical C57, they don't measure liquor here as nearly so precisely as they do on the other side of the pond, it's more of the eyeball effect and more often than not from a person that's had more drinks than you!

I understand that 1.5 ounces = one shot?

On that premise, I have 3 ounces per day on average. On nights when I have a whisky appreciating companion, it may be closer to three times this much!
