Highland Park 15 Year Old Earl Magnus... A true gem or mere costume jewelry?

Love the packaging. Not so crazy about what's in the bottle, though.

Not what I'd expect from HP, and therefore doesn't do it for me.

Earl Magnus Edition One

Postby The Third Dram » Wed Sep 01, 2010 6:48 pm

I'll freely admit... I've become quite enamoured of the Highland Park 15 Year Old Earl Magnus First Edition released as of late last year, to the point of stashing some reserves away for a 'rainy day'. That said (and despite the generally favourable reactions from many other tasters), I remain curious as to how other forum members who have tried this whisky view its merits and/or lack thereof. Hence this poll.

I've grouped the typical 'yes or no' prompts into 4 groups, so everyone can include up to 4 responses. If you haven't tried the HPEM, you might simply want to check off the last option (if applicable). Please have at it!

I like it, it's different from the standard bottlings but still has the Highland Park character.

I wished they had finished the box however.... :D
