What libation for Thanksgiving?

Well, Thanksgiving is just around the corner. I thought I would see what thoughts you good folks have for having with the meal. Usually it is turkey and ham with the fixings and I have not been told otherwise. Give a vote and then respond with some more specifics. I will let you know what I had with the meal.

I voted for Bourbon as that is what I will have this Thursday (wife is working so it is just littleman and me) but when I have Thanksgiving dinner (two of them, one Friday with the in-laws and Sunday with my family) it will be wine (pinot noir and chardonnay) and beer.

It will be wine. I still can't bring myself to eat a meal with any type of Whisky. I am not sure what wine since I will not be at my house but whatever it is it will be a lot.

Perfect for "post turkey" consumption is Dalmore Mackenzie. This elixir has subtle complex flavors of dried fruit and green gages which pairs well with the traditional - normal roasted turkey and/or as an after dinner libation!

Nice Ganga, I am going to have some Old Potrero Rye (probably the closest whiskey out there to what the Pilgrims would have drank) tonight before moving on to the bourbon.

You'd think the Buffalo Trace White Dog would be the closest thing since at the time they weren't really putting a large emphasis on aging.
