Yamazaki 18, Balvenie Doublewood 17,or Glenmorangie Signet?

Postby mstang1988 » Mon Nov 05, 2012 8:32 pm

I've narrowed down my next purchase to:
Yamazaki 18, Balvenie Doublewood 17,or Glenmorangie Signet

I've had the signet and loved it because it was very unique but not the other two but I really want to try them having liked their 12 year offerings and the 17 peated cask by Balvenie. Which do you suggest I buy?

I would definitely go for the Balvenie doublewood 17 year old. A bit more complex than the 12 year old. Here's my blog on this very whisky. http://singlemaltwhiskyshop.org/the-bal ... ingle-malt

Have you had them all? What makes you choose the Balvenie?
