Many variables affect how long it takes me to drink a bottle including the size of bottle, contents of bottle, number of people with whom the bottle is shared, occasion at which the bottle is opened, other occasions at which the bottle is drunk, how many other bottles are also opened at these occasions, and what alternatives contents in alternative bottles are available.

Anywhere between a month to a year depending on how much I like it or want to savor it (rare bottlings go into this catagory).

Cheers!

17.8 seconds.

Well, really...a "fast" bottle might go in a few weeks; a "slow" one, maybe six months. I've had two different bottles of Balvenie 15 each last sixteen days--I think that's my record. I had a bottle of McClelland's Highland that I thought would never die--likewise one of Bowmore Darkest.

A bottle can last me a whole year or 2 weeks depending on my mood but as I usually have between 18-25 bottles open at any one time I can only judge by the empties I throw out and that is nearly one a month so that would indicate that I drink a bottle a month  .
