Uh oh...

someone's paying attention? I better start watching what I say!
I'm hardly the expert, TL, but I read what other people say here and try to take a variety of opinions and experiences into account when I shoot my mouth off. Even so, sometimes I'm just plain wrong! It's true! As far as bottles deteriorating, I would say that having a bottle open a long time increases the
chance that it will go off, and more so as the level gets lower. Some here have reported bottles open for two or three years without harm. I say why take the chance? More than once I've been offered a dram from someone's prized bottle of Snackitty Bockitty, only to taste a whisky that has long gone by. And of course, the special ones are exactly what we try to save for the longest time.
