Should Aidan write a book on Irish Whiskey?

Postby IainB » Thu Oct 11, 2007 1:53 pm

Since I started posting here I've been greatly impressed but the seemingly endless knowledge on Irish Whiskey that Aidan posesses. I for one think he should write a book. Do you agree? If you poll yes you have to buy the book when it comes out!

Nice poll, and yes, he should. I am definitely not around as long as most others, but I also found one constant source of information in the Irish whiskey threads; Aidan.

Makes me want to try Irish whiskey more, I only had one dram of Bushmills 10yo yet!

Our irish friends are very knowledgable about whisky in general and of course irish in particular! Write that book Aidan!

Yes I'll go for a copy when it's published but I expect a signed copy .... Maybe Ian Buxton can help out ... no free mini's attached though Ian ;-)

I'll help tasting any free samples that you are forced to taste Aidan in name of research and of course protecting that liver of yours.

How much will it cost? Then Yes... what! ... can't have two choices? Look, this purchase may well cut severly into my whisky budget (especially if it's a photo laden coffee table tome) so before I agree unseen, what're you looking at charging?

Hmmm. Interesting poll result so far for Aidan. Based on the admittedly small sample size it seems 75% of people will buy the book regardless of how much it costs. This time next year you could be a very rich man. (Don't forget who got the ball rolling on this!)

Yes, it will be made out of gold and come in a velvet-lined mahogony case. You'd need a pair of white golves to read it.

I don't think I could write anything that would add to whatever's out there.

I am going to lauch a website, at some stage. I am just pressed for time at the moment - that's why I haven't sent you those samples yet, Ian!
