It is sad LSD, but there still seems to be a fair bit of it kicking around here despite reports of its demise.

Mac 10 finished now. Down to 26 open and Mrs. Willie is looking increasingly happy at the tidiness in the whisky room.

I usually have a LOT more open!

Right now i have:

Ardbeg 10
JW Green
Jim Clark Glen Moray SC edition 4, a red wine casked 9 YO that reminds me of a subtler Abunadh...
Longrow CV
Lagavulin "Elements of Islay"Lg1 - Lagavulin syrup!

Used to have about 20-25.

No clue how many I have open at the moment. But the Laphroaig 10 went down in a drizzle of glory. So at least three have bitten the dust in the last month or so.

Had a good clearout last night:

Golden Cask Bladnoch 17yo 55%
G&M Lochside 91-07
Laphroaig 15yo
Laphroaig QC
Sig Glenisla 28yo 48.8%
Old Pulteney 17yo
MM Glenlossie 11yo 46%
Sig MacDuff 24yo 46%

I guess that's me down to 18 open bottles now.

Ha ha very funny. :) I've just been collecting a lot of bottles in the cupboard that didn't have anything very much left in them so I've been trying to clear them out before Christmas. Then i can open some new stuff. :D

It seems like you're getting a move on, Nick. I, on the other hand, seem to be opening more and more bottles lately. Good thing I buy doubles. :)

17 currently - will be 18 in a few minutes...

I've got about 4 or 5 that are one or two drams away from being finished off - so I'll just HAVE TO go pick up a few more. The misses will understand that, I'm sure.

Cleaned up a bit, and used a couple that I didn't like for Toddys, and now I'm down to 14.

I thought it was quite a spectacular dram, and my wife (who does not like whisky) thought that it was pleasant (not sure if that is a good thing though.
It was quite fruity and chewy on the palate and had Murray Mints on the nose and finish as I recall. Will do proper tasting notes for this after my next dram.
