I have a 1936 miniature Mortlach 50 yo. Full bottle currently is 1965 but I did have a 1957 Glenrothes that was something nice.

Somehow, I think you need Mikey here. I know some of the ones he has.

I'll have to take a closer look, having a 30 yo RM Royal Lochnagar in the lair... but I think the oldest is the 1974 Glen Albyn (Signatory) @ 58%abv.

Oldest I've owned was the SMWS 36 YO "Rasta" Longmorn.

Oldest I've tasted is a 1946 Macallan in 2004. I can still smell it...me playing in my grannny's old oak cabinet,
and full of lemons...staring into the yellow-gold colour...dry fruit and peat on the palate. Regal...and very long.

May not help given your location, but RMW have a 50yo Strathisla for £170... whether it's still in stock or not I don't know.

A few old vintage G&M Glen Grant offerings around as well over here, including a 40yo 1958 for £140. So not too expensive really given the age!

A friend just phoned me from Edinburgh airport and said that they had G&M Glen Grant 1951 bottled 2004. The price was excellent and he asked me if I wanted some. I told him not to be so stupid so he will be bringing it back in a few days.

A 1966 Tullibardine and then a 1973 Longmorn. Next would be some 30 yr Laphroaigs and Broras probably from the mid to late 1970s.

Oh ya - I have two 50ml minis from the early 1970's: one's a Canada Club and the other is a Crown Royal - I think these were found in my grandparent's house about 15 years ago - highly valuable treasures!

Just picked up a couple of bottles of Cooper Choice 1969 Strathisla (36 year old) to serve to my guests after dinner at my wedding in June. Knowing that there is only one other whisky enthusiast coming to me wedding (myself excluded of course) I am hoping I will have a few drams left after the dinner to take me into the evening. I might even sneak a wee dram before the wedding when I can appreciate it fully

I have a mini Geo Roe 10yo Irish Whiskey

Label States the Irish Free state which only existed from 1922 -1937. Therefore bottled at the earliest in 1922 or the latest 1937.

Have seen a similar bottle on Ebay with a tax seal from 1934.

So possible distill dates of between 1912 & 1927.

Anything else of note would of been distilled in the 1950's but again only nondescript Irish Whiskeys.

I have a 32 year old Ardbeg OMC by Douglas Laing, a 30 year old Bowmore in ceramic, and a 30 year old Springbank. I dont have the exact years right now.

My oldest bottle is 38 year Balblair distilled in 1966, my oldest after that is a 30 year Highland Park. I do have a bottle of Dimple from around 1962.

Just out of interest Mikey Mad - given that these bottles are of great value what type of insurance do you have for them, do they full under your general contents insurance or have you had to itemise the individual bottles? - Is this something you can do for whisky?

I think it's the Willie Napier 44yo Pure Pot Still - from the old Tullamore distillery. It says the cask was acquired in 1945 and bottled in 1989. Not sure when it was distilled but probably around 1945.

Of course, all of the scotch bottles I buy don't seem to last too long. The oldest one is about 4 months old and there is only one serving left.

Oh, you meant the age of the Whisly -- right. 12 years (Hey, like I said they don't last long and they are all open right now). The older ones seem to drain faster than the younger ones...

I've got three 30yo OB. One HP, one Glenfarclas and what's left of a Brora... They too tend to evaporate quite fast.

I found Hangar One's Citrus offering to be remarkable. I don't drink much Vodka, but I found this one to be out of this world.
