Save it for a special occassion. A 57.1% Ardbeg isn't exactly a summer dram.

I'll add mine to my humble Ardbeg collection, with hopes to have a tasting with them all one day.

I didn't vote, because I will stick it in the queue of interesting bottles waiting to get opened. Unfortunately the queue is long now, but occasionally one bottle will jump to the front. I can see the Corryvreckan being one of those.

I've just started a 10 day no booze detox. As soon as my 10 days are up I'll be opening my bottle up.

(Assuming it's arrived by then!)

I'm with Martin, mine still hasn't arrived. I ordered mine about 9.20 last wednesday one of the very first orders. Postie has been today. No Ardbeg again. :( Can't make a decision til it arrives. But probably like Willie and put it in the list of bottles to open. It won't be sold.

I'll be saving it for a special occasion. Of course my definition of "special occasion" is very loose and subjective, so I might just open it up to celebrate receiving it!

I am a bit perplex. Without any tasting notes from anybody, everybody who bought the bottle seems to tout the corryvreckan already. Is it going to be better than the 10 yr old, better than the Mhor? The world awaits. :P

I can pretend anything I want, I know I will open it right away .
And I suspect the first tasting notes to hit the web will trigger a new massive sale at Ardbeg's online.
Will we need gloves to open this one as well ?

Good point Jimmy. I just checked and my card is still to be debited as well. Perhaps it will only be debited upon shipment?

Anyway I've got 10 days before I'm drinking anyway. Would be good if it was here before then though.

I spoke to the distillery yesterday and was told that payment is only taken when the order is processed and prepared for shipment, which could be 3 or 4 weeks. Apparently they are completely swamped with orders..no great surprise.

It could take a while as all orders are shipped Royal Mail Via the Islay Air Service and there's only so many parcels the plane can carry on top of the passengers! So patience will be required.....

I'll wait, and I have plenty of others to open before I break open "The Vreckan". Almost sounds like "The Cracken" from Clash of the Titans.

Oooh..forgot to add an option for that. I could put one in now, but the votes would be reset. Would anyone be heartbroken if they had to vote again?

Print "Corryvreckan" on a piece of notepaper and paste it on a Uigeadail bottle and dream! :dead:

Cheers!
