There is nothing more peaty that I have had then this whisky. I really liked it!

Most people I know think it's Ardbeg.
Anayway - I don't care as for my taste it's just flawed malt

I'm sure that if I'm wrong, others will let me know--at least I hope so! Learning is always a good thing!

You should definitely try this if you like Lagavulin. Perhaps a little less complicated, but fantastic intensity. Like Lagavulin, more smoke and tar than peat.
Yummy!

The Ardmore Traditional Cask is one of my favourites too. Glenfiddich has the Caoran Reserve which is also peated. Some say it's not real peat, don't know about that. I liked the bottle a friend gave me beacause it smelled like his clothes after an evening in the pub.

Monday is a great day for a peaty malt. Sure there's Friday and Wednesday and Saturday -- those are good for hitting the highlands or venturing to campbeltown. But after the painful transition from Sunday to Monday and subsequent Monday itself, a good strong blast of peat is a perfect antithesis of, well, mondayness. I highly recommend it.
After my taste test I confess that Ardbeg 10 is just so much better than smokehead. I compare all peaty malts to it and, well it's always better (3D3 is great too). Haven't tried the lagavulin 12 though...
