1.Wait 'til you're in a GOOD mood B4 you drink...you'll enjoy them more, and less likely to change your mind mid dram as I tend to do if at all on edge.
2.If I was lucky enough to be able to take the Islay flight I'd have the Laga last...
3. \\why not be outrageous and take one from each? Say, Sazerac , Talisker 18, Laga 21?
...just to add to the indecisiveness of your day!!
You're right about the mood thing. In fact when I'm in particularly bad form I tend to make a point of not drinking - I think that could be a bad road to go down for someone, if he's honest , probably drinks too much whisky already.
Anyway I was in mcuh better form by the time I got home, and despite the votes, the only thing I really wanted was the Talisker - first of all the 25yo had only just arrived and secondly it was the only thing I hadn't already tried. So I went with about 25mls each of the 10 and 18 and had two full measures (35ml) of the 25.
Love the 25 - normally when I've tried older versions of the peaty stuff the peat tends to be more subdued - not so in this case. It had, of course, all the usual talisker peppery stuff etc. but seemed to me to have a higher peating level. Anyway, this has now joined my personal list of favourites.
Have a headache this morning though - ususual as I didn't have too much last night.
