I think you describe the BT quite well. It is very sweet and definitely very interesting. Difficult to drink more than once in a great while.

Really, comes back into focus. Peanut shells coming through. Really not that bad. Not great but still drinkable.

Jacob's Well Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 42%, 84 mos

Reddish amber

Nose: grainery, green grass, honey, nuts
Palate: straw, honeynut cheerios, peanut brittle
Finish: longish, nuts and honey

Enjoyable, although rough at some points of the palate.

Wathen's Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Single Barrel Eight, 47%

dark red gold

Nose: mint and cut grass, almond shells, vanilla
Palate: spring wheat, summer meadow, clarified butter
Finish: moderate, astringent mint

Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 1999 barrel 342

N: Corn, vanilla, caramel and oak char. A little banana and creme brulee.
P: Corn and vanilla. Caramel, and oak char. Simpler on the palate than on the nose.
A touch of alcohol.
F: Shortish, caramel and some alcohol. Vanilla and slightly bitter oak show up towards the end.

Not as good as I remember. Nice nose though but the palate and finish are just ok.

Nose: thrashed grains, oak shavings, nut shells
Palate: rye grain, peanut brittle, whipped butter on waffles
Finish: short, grainy

Coffee brown

Nose: greens, toffee, bbq corn husks
Palate: charred oak, green tea, sorghum
Finish: short, charred greens

Nose: 3 day old cut grass, pecans, bubble gum sugar dust, corn husks
Palate: bitter green herbs, coffee toffee
Finish: short to non-existant

Nose: dried mint leaves, pecans, grist
Palate: bitter green herbs, toffee/brittle, nuts
Finish: moderate, toffee and greens

Four Roses Kentucky Straight Bourbon (for export from US - Japanese?) 40% (700 ml)

bright gold

Nose: dried basil, crushed grains, nut shells, pancakes with butter and syrup
Palate: spinach, pancakes, caramel
Finish: moderate and very sweet

Daviess County Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, 4 yo, 43%

carmel gold

Nose: cinnamon sticks-candy, grains, leafy greens, mint
Palate: turpentine and grease, cinnamon stick candy, rye
Finish: long, green and grainy

Oops, missed this tasting saturday. But I had this:

Elijah Craig 12yo small batch 47%.

Plenty of oak (both charred and saw dust like), coconut, mandarin and grapefruit peels on the nose. Much the same on the palate except less coconut and more lemon than grape and some mint. Finish is really fresh with citrus, cocnut and mint at first. Then oak, vanilla and raspberries become dominant.

I've only had two bourbons before this, Jack Daniels and Jim Beam. Didn't like any of them so this was a real surprise. Can't get it at the monopoly, but could I get it at the EUR 21.75 I paid for it in Germany this could easily be my daily dram.
