I've checked the calendar - no, not the whisky one :x :P - and have some dates to poll.

I went with April 13th, Saturday or actually that weekend since I go on my 2 weeks of the midnight shift on the following week. :(

At the end of those boring midnights I'm airbound Scotland! :D

Cheers!

Nice! Whereabouts?

I voted Friday 19th. Friday is my drinking night. Anything but the later dates are too close to this month's for me.

As far as I can tell the 12th is a Saturday, and the 13th is the Sunday... ????

I am holding my vote for a little bit....

I picked the 18th (Friday) because that's the evening the wife is usually out. But hey, I can make it work.

I'm spending the 1st week in the Speyside region (Elgin & Rothes) for my further adventures of touring distilleries and I'm splitting the next week between Edinburgh and Glasgow with a very possible side flight to Islay for a day and night. Several more Valinch's in my cabinet would look really nice!

Cheers!

I voted Friday 18th, but the Saturday will do just as well. Truth be told that all those dates are good for me, but I too opted for the later weekend just to distance it a little more from March's tasting.

I would vote Fri 11th/Sat 12th because I might not be able to do the following week. But it makes sense to have it 18th/19th to space it out from this month's. So I've not voted and chosen to have this little indecisive muttering here instead.

I have the same problem Treacle. It would be sensible to leave a little distance, but I won't be here the second weekend.

Erm, I struggle with this poll.

I can make either of the Fridays, how do I vote for that? :(

So, when is the tasting?

Saturday or Friday, I'll be there. The later in the month the better.
If my Caol Ila set arrives tomorrow then this month is allright for me too. :)

I don't think that the April Tasting date is set yet... So get your votes in. Looks like it should be Saturday the 19th, but there are only 10 votes right now...

Saturday 19th April would be perfect.

C57: For saturday I have a DW12 and a PW21 ready. Pray everyday for Matt's sample to arrive. Wasn't confused about the live tastings, just (overly) excited because I ordered a Caol Ila set (12, 18, cs) and hope it will get here before the tasting.

I hope to able to join in on the 18th, which is the best for me. The following night is a bit local day with an annual sporting event and party in the evening which I hear actually gets all the locals out and about. What are we tasting, has it been decided?

Okay thanks, sounds good. I'll have to see how willing I am to open a new bottle with quite a number of opened ones already. But it is almost a month away.

Be sensible!
You can open four more in that time!

That's right, I'd better be careful!

Any chance of a 6pm kickoff for April? I've got a friend staying with me that w/end and it'd be awful rude if I make her stay in watching me slug back Caol Ila, but I might be able to sneak some in before we go out if it's early enough. Pleeease?

If you pour it. They will come.

I am sure we could probably get Matt to open up the live tasting a little early so people can join in....

6pm April 19, that's 1 pm in Canada, unless you've done time change in which case it will be 12 noon. I'm game for an early sample or two of Caol Ila, it would be a bit of a welcoming dram for me before the main event. It would only be 9 am in California which is a bit early even for Ganga and Mikey.

Well, I must admit that very thought had crossed my mind. Once you guys get tied up with Willie, there's no stopping, is there? 10 time zones at New Years I seem to recall.
