Aberlour for me, and I went for Friday 18th as I'm away the weekend after and am more likely to be available on Fridays than on Saturdays.

I voted Aberlour, but Mortlach works well for me too. I only have 1 sample of Bladnoch, which I really like, but it's not very accessible here right now. As far as the date, Saturday July 19th is the only date that does NOT work for me. I'll be hosting my Brother's bachelor party, and we'll be down at Foxwoods Casino for the entire day/night. :D :D :D

I opted Mortlach but looks as though Aberlour is running away with it, I'm safe either way as I have multiple expressions of both. As for the date I chose July 18 (19th is good too) because the next the weekend (July 25/26) I'll be doing some extra special tasting (50th b-day!).

For August,
Benriach
Glen Grant

Cheers!

For August I'd like to nominate the 3 non-winners from July. Which looks like Mortlach, Bladnoch and Springbank. Not that I need an excuse, but this will just give me a reason to buy another bottle or two. :D :D

Mortlach, Saturday 19th. I'll be happy with any winner and date.

For August, I fancy a change from Speyside so I suggest Balblair and Scapa.

With the amount of a'bunadh that flows amongst the forum it shouldn't be hard.

I have samples of Batches 15, 16, 17 (many thanks to Ganga), and full bottles of Batch 18 & 21. I will be away the date of the tasting, but I'll be sure to post notes on the site.

I'll have some a'bunadhs, the 16yo and quite possibly one of my hand-filled's avail. Bourbon cask perhaps?

Cheers!

Ganga, is it too late to nominate St. Magdalene? Also I think "choose 3" for the prelim. poll is a good idea. Especially when we get over 7 nominees.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up in the past or not, so I am going to ask the question.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, I cannot make the live tasting date that was voted on. This is the same date that I planned to have my Brother's bachelor party (my job as best man). So my question is, would it be rude for me to input my notes Friday evening (before the tasting even starts), or should I wait until after?

I really enjoy the Live Tastings and taking part with everyone, its a great way to converse about the different expressions being tasted, and to read notes on the expressions you don't have available to taste. Plus I really enjoy the company of the wonderful people here! :D :D

If we could start a day early then I'll definitely be able to make it from the word go :D. Otherwise I'll be joining at some silly hour on Sunday morning after I'll finally have come back from watching a road rally.

Either way, I'm actually available to take part live in a live tasting for once, rather than having to tack my notes at the end a couple of days/weeks afterwards!

I'm one of the people that will be doing my tasting and notes on Friday. I'll be on about 8:30PM EST if anyone wants to join me.

I have the following ready to go: a'bunadh batch 10, 14-18, 20, 21, 23, Aberlour 100. With more to come....it should make for an interesting evening!! :D :D

I should still be around on Friday for this, as Saturday is definitely a non-starter.

Think I'll have to start a little sooner than 8:30pm EST (01:30am for me!) though Ryan, so I might have been and gone by the time you arrive :(

Oh, I'll be bringing the following to the party:

OBs
10
12
15 Sherry Wood Finish
16
18
a'bunadh batch #22

IB
11yo Single Malts of Scotland (exclusive TWE bottling)

So looking forward to it!

What I'll have available are, a'bunadh batches 6, 8, 10, 15, 18 & 19, Aberlour 16 DCM and quite possibly one of my hand-filled bottles from the Aberlour connoisseurs tour, the 12yo bourbon casked most likely.

Cheers!

Nick, I agree, a bit THANK YOU to Matt Page for organising the samples. I'm looking forward to the 10, 12, 16 and 18. I'll be up in Aberdeen and will try to look out a few more, possibly the 15 and a cask strength to round things off nicely. How many sleeps? Can't wait!
