Do we want to create a poll as to which weekend? I can't wait for this tasting, I have been holding off on finishing a couple of bottles in anticipaton of this tasting.

I should have held off too  Only one shot of GTS left, and no Elijah Craig now. Well, I said I didn't like to wait. But I have enough Eagle Rare 10 and Wild Turkey Rare Breed to send out samples.

Yes, I know it's late, apologies - I would like to join the party. I don't have any bourbon to share around but would be happy to buy a bourbon for sharing or to contribute towards the cost or offer some other whiskies in exchange.

How about the first weekend of March? Yes, I know, I still need to go get the 1792. I will try to get that this weekend.

I have a box going out to Willie for dispersing some samples to others in the UK. Included will be the GTS 2008 and Elijah Craig 12yo. Now I just need to figure out how many samples of each to send him. I'll make sure to include you DFI, it's never too late! :D :D

I am really looking forward to this, have we got a date in mind yet? I would like to be included in the samples of the GTS that you are sending to Willie Ryguy?

Would anyone be interested in samples of Bulliet?

March 7th it is then, if that's ok with everyone.

I'll be sending samples to Willie of the GTS and EC 12 for everyone below. If I have left anyone out, please speak up, as it was by mistake. Nick (C57) will already have his samples, because they were sent previously.

Willie, LagaDrinker, DFI, TreacleSponge, Ras and cathach (just the EC 12).

Sounds good team. I have picked up a bottle of the Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 133, 45.2%, because it was a good deal and sounded interesting. So I'll be sending folks samples of that and the Blanton's Gold along with Ryan's samples.

PS I just poured myself some of the WR and its worth sending.

Please go ahead with the tasting on March 7. My brother is visiting that weekend and so, unfortunately, I will not be able to contribute 'live' on the evening. I would still like to take part so if the thread could be opened early/kept open as usual then I will contribute my thoughts on the bourbons. I'll miss the banter but I know the date has to be set for the benefit of the majority. At the moment I don't have any plans for the 28th Feb, 14th March or 28th March. I guess the 'regular' monthly tasting will be on the 21st March.

I will not be able to make the evening of the 7th either, but will be on with my notes early evening on the 8th.

Really looking forward to it. Got my samples from Ras yesterday. A very nice selection!

It seems that, due to the zeal of the USPS in upholding the law where whisky posting is concerned, it would not be sensible for Ryguy to send us stuff that way at the moment. Courier alternatives are just too expensive in my opinion so I think the attempt to get us some Stagg and the EC 12 should be abandoned. Thanks for trying guys.

However, I still have Blanton's Gold and Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby 133 for those that would like some. Just let me know by pm asap.

Cheers

I will definitely encourage S'tan to post notes on various bourbons he has. He is definitely an asset for bourbons.

I will be passing along some to the Bay Area Boys this weekend. Hopefully Mikey and Lohss will be able to give us some notes too. Looking forward to this tastings.

I've spoken with Ryguy following his & Ganga's unfortunate experience with posting samples, and as I've got a bottle of Elijah Craig 12 I'll send the samples from here to the Euro folks and hopefully we'll have more luck that way. So PM me if I haven't got your address and you were expecting some EC12 from Ryguy.

Yes, sadly enough, I will not be able to post samples to the Euro folk this time around. Thanks again for your understanding, and many Thanks again to TreacleSponge for sending out some EC12 to everyone on your side of the pond.

I am looking forward to this tasting, I have a few different bourbons now, will at least 1 more bottle coming before the tasting happens.

I am excited for this tasting though I don't know when I will be tasting them as my parents are visiting for at least part of this weeken. I may have to break it up into parts.
The bourbons I have are:

EC 12
EC 18
GTS 07
GTS 08
1792 Ridgemont Reserve
Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit
Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 20yo

I have also considered picking up a few minis as well but we will see.
