Did you get whisky or scotch for Christmas?

If so, what did you get?

The wife bought me a bottle of Teachers (my standby), Ballantines Finest(never had it before) and Black Grouse (wow!). She didnt ask me what I liked, just took a stab. Anyway, the Black Grouse is a wonderful peated blend. I am really enjoying this one.

Just posted on another thread that Santa (the lovely wife, actually) left a bottle of BenRiach 21 yo Authenticus under the tree.

Santa (darling husband) was really good to me.....

Bruichladdich Peat (which is almost gone!)
Briuichladdich Waves (which we just opened last night... i like it much more than the Peat...which surprised me!)
Bruichladdich PC6 (a very very nice 6 yo!)

I bought my hubby a vatted malt that I stumbled on in the liquor store..... Clan Denny - a vatted malt from Islay. I had never heard of it, but there was a descrition of it, with a note that Jim Murray scored it 93....so I bought it. It is delicious! I highly recommend it.

Agree with your comments regarding the Islay Clan Denny.Well worth investing in a bottle if you see one.

I received a bottle of Aberlour a'bunadh, Batch 23, 60.2 abv. I have yet to taste it. I must be doing something wrong if life is flying by without taking time for a dram or two.
