I see this is now available in Germany.

Anyone tried it, how does it compare to the QC and Cairdeas?

tried it H2H with the QC
it was oke
but it's just an QC with a finish
which doesn't really add anything for me
just for my wallet
It's roughly twice the price of the QC
It won't be on my shelves (the triple wood that is, the QC always will be there)

well my folks are flying abroad on the 20th so i'll ask them to pick one up, i'll open it up, but figured there wouldn't be much difference from QC. Still a tad excited though.

I'm sure it's available on some German websites, but the only place I've seen it so far (I haven't done much research) is at http://www.whisky.fr

http://www.scoma.de had it for pre order at one point.

also http://www.maltsandmore.de also had it.

Sadly my folks wern't able to pick one up when they flew out of Gatwick a couple of weeks ago as it had all sold out!

It seems to be sold out at most places. LMDW doesn't have any left, and they were selling it at a high price anyway (€ 89 - regular price is € 65).

I've bought mine at the Brussels airport. Actually it's really nice and I do like the added layer of sherry. Tasting notes are on my blog: Laphroaig Triple Wood. The Cairdeas is a bit sharper and more powerful, but I prefer the 3Wood.
