Laphroaig 21, LE

Has anyone tried the limited edition Laphroaig 21? In part, I'm wondering if I need to pick up a second bottle as the first is reserved for a Laphroaig tasting event in the distant future.

You mean the OB or the Douglas Laing version?

OB, limited edition, cask strength. This one comes in a gray tube. I'll post some further details on this one tonight as I don't have them readily available right here.

I don't think that I'll have a problem finding one in a year; it's just that the distributors raise the price each time a store reorders. Bottles were $325. Now they're $370. In a year.....?

Ganga, on the brightside it is $450 out heren so at least you are ripped of slightly less.

Holy Crap! I could never afford that...ever. I think it's such a cool board that those that can afford things like that post happily alongside those that can't.

T10, if you're ever in LA, give me a shout. I'm sure I can find some stuff to tantalize the palate. :D And I agree with you about how we have a whole spectrum with the purchasing.

It is my understanding that there was a previous release of the 21 but I never saw it. If someone can confirm that there is or is not another 21 I'd appreciate knowing.

The promised details:

Laphroaig
21 yo
53.4%
1157/1427
750 ml
Gray label and tube
Notes inside for the 10, 10 CS, and QC
