Hey Drammed:
I have a bottle of this and really enjoy it: it's actually my favourite Caol Ila available at the moment - well, maybe the Cask strength as well...
Anyway, I like it: it's uncomplicated and I doesn't feel like it's trying to be anything it isn't. However, it's very easy to drink and is a really nice moderately peated whisky.
Is it amazing? No, definitely not. But I think it is a really enjoyable whisky.
In BC, it's a bit of a gamble because of the high BCLDB cost (i.e. I bought a 1 liter bottle of this a month ago in Europe and paid about 65 Euros; in BC the 750ml bottle is something like $114! So, your money might be better spent else where, but it's certainly not bad - and I think quite enjoyable - by any means...
Cheers!
