OK, here goes...
A touch greater depth of hue than the 10-year old. More pronounced oak and smoke scents penetrate through the honeyed malt fragrance. Notions of lemon sage as well. On the palate, spice saturated oak surges from the outset, yet is followed by a chorus of sweeter malt driven notes ranging from small grains to fruit preserves. Apple crepes with whipped cream. Honeycomb. Fresh mint. Dandelion greens. Clean and enlivening. The finish is an extended essay in balance and composure. Exceptionally spirited, and thus a cut above its younger sibling. The clarity is breathtaking.
