Arran Cask finishes.

Has anybody tasted the recent cask finishes from Arran- Calvados & Cognac ?

I tried them both at a recent tasting in Tokyo and found them both quite interesting but on balance preferred the Calvados. This seems to compliment the natural sweetness & fruitiness of the Arran spirit, whilst the Cognac was drier, with a slight tanniny feel.

Any comments?

Hi Pete,

have tasted these two as well.
I definitely prefer the Calvados finish over the Cognac finish!!

Must have made notes somewhere, but as far as I remember, I experienced more or less the same as you.
