Glendronach vertical tasting TONIGHT NE Scotland

Very short notice but I have a spare ticket for a Glendronach vertical tasting at the Hunters Moon pub in Premnay, Aberdeenshire if anyone local fancies it?

Kicks off at 1930, 6 drams (12, 15, three of the 2010 wood finishes and an 18yo single-cask).

Nearest train station is Insch (3 miles away), there is train from Aberdeen at 1820 and another one back at 2303. Train takes 35 minutes.

Sorry I missed this Lefty (mr2drams I presume), I hope you had a great time. I am a sucker for vertical tastings and it's rare to get such a cracking line up.

Was a good session actually, format needs a bit of work perhaops but it was their first tasting and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Which one did you like (in the tasting list)?

I am going at a glendronach vertical also the last weekend of june (in belgium).

Maybe I have to make a vertical myself with the few bottles of glendronach I have (47 different but only 3 are open)

I'd tasted all of them before, and own all but the Sauternes and Moscatel which I had tried at the distillery and didn't particularly enjoy.

My favourite was cask 2512, 18yo Oloroso 1992. Got one open, one closed at home.

So no new drams but still an enjoyable night.

The best for me is the 1972/2009 cask 719. I have it twice (but the 2 are closed for the moment). I nearly got 4 bottles of this one (I wasn't quick enough to buy them when a promotion was made in 2009).

I am not very impressed with the 1978/2010. Way too expensive for what it is.
You can get much better for that kind of price.

But all the other I have tryed are outstanding, indeed.

Cask 1040. It's from the batch 2.
I have this bottle twice(one is open)

It's not bad but as I said, not worth the 200€ they are asking for. (not even the 160€ I paid)
