Whats the best Ardbeg?

I disagree with your opinion of Ardbeg 17. Did you try the older 40% ABV stuff or the current 43% run? I have the current stuff and think it is very good, a sophisticated, balanced Ardbeg for everyday drinking compared to the brash, in your face smoke-peat monster that is the TEN.

Well done to Bruce & Steve for the amusing posts. I didn't even know Blackadder had any recent bottlings of Ardbeg! Image

With all this discussion of Ardbeg, I'm curious to know what their wood policy is? Does anyone know their current maturation policy in terms of bourbon or sherry wood?
