Arran is very good for its age. Not particularly "islandy" (meaning seaweedy and phenolic like Talisker/Ledaig and the Islays), but a lovely dram. I reckon it'll be excellent at 8 years, and near perfection at 10. BTW, I have seen Old Rhosdhu going for about £12 for a 5-year-old, but whether that is good value, I have no idea (the Inchmurrin, also from Loch Lomond, is a pleasant light Lowland-like malt but not as cheap). Any Rhosdhu drinkers out there?
