Just picked up a bottle of Bowmore Dusk (Bordeaux cask finished) out of interest, but not sure how the French influence will affect it. Any thoughts on this trend to finish whiskies in other casks including rum Glenfiddich Havana - which we had at a recent Grants tasting evening and was bloody lovely.
