Laphroaig 15 packaging?

Which is the lastest packaging for the 15, the tube or box? I'm curious if this represents a different bottling or merely a change in presentation.

As far as I know,the only packaging available in the shop over here are boxes.

I'm not sure, but I think the tube is new, looks like a new packing design.

I am reviving an old thread here because I am trying to find some info on this older Laphroaig 15.

I have placed it next to my new 15 for comparison. Does anyone know the age on this bottling? Or how about any taste comparison between the 2?

Did the older bottle come packaged in a box or a tube because I just have the bottle.

I appreciate any insight anyone may have.

There is no "Royal Warrant" so it was bottled before 1994. Check out this page from Marcel van Gils website.

Great idea... and great minds think alike. I emailed Marcel and got some info back from him. How did you tell from that link it was before 1994?

Is this bottle worth anything or should I just drink and enjoy?

Oops...you can't read about the Royal Warrant from that link. If you go to this link...

...and scroll down to the pictures of Prince Charles with the hammer. It talks about Laphroaig being awarded the "Royal Warrant" in 1994. So an easy identifier is prior to 1994, no Royal Warrant, 1994 and later have it. It can be on either the front or back.
