The Glenmorangie has an amazing earthiness to it and is an amazing example of the great tasting experiences that can be found in 10 year old whiskies. The MacCallan 10 year old is another great example of an affordable fantastic tasting experience.
Getting back to the Glenmorangie, for a decadent experience I really enjoy the Quinta Ruban. The port notes are very nice without being overpowering.
Being a photographer, I'm a sucker for shapes and packaging so those lovely swan neck bottles always seem sadder when they're empty not unlike throwing out a Christmas tree.
