Ardbeg Nearly There

I just have to tell this story. I visited Islay in the beginning of March, and had a tour of the distillery. At the end, there was a whisky-tasting (as usual) and I got to taste the Almost There. It was fantastic, and I could have killed for a bottle. But there was no way I could buy one, since the release was later that month.

But, Mr Fjeld and Di Blasi, they told me it would come up for sale in Norway as well, so we will just have to cross our fingers.

Yes, September release for Norway, but available to bars, service places, etc.

You were right about oddbins. Not a sniff of AAT...nor was it even on the bloke's order list. Ah well...I think i'll take that meeting in town this week. There's a whisky shop in Soho I need to visit...

Good thought,Les. I love browsing the LFW website, but have never ordered from them (yet!) I like the reviews, and I'd trust their recommendations in that they' re not afraid to offer honest opinions , no matter how unflattering, of their own stock...

I'll just wait and see if my travels to London this week unearth an "Ardbeg Almost Got My Hands On A Bottle ..."

My local Oddbins has 12 bottles in stock - got them in on Wednesday - last week.
