I'll third that. I had another dram last night, and it has really opened up. No notes this time, but I remember some really nice custard notes on the nose.

One thing is for sure, I am going to be very very sad when this bottle is gone. Thankfully I have about 650ml left to go!!!

The Corryvreckan is probably my favourite whisky on the go at the moment. Is this going to be a general release at some stage? Or a form of it?

There was some type of rumbling from LFW that it would replace the ANB later this year, but I have no confirmation or details of ABV, etc.

I've heard from a reliable source that Corryvrecken will be distributed in the U.S. later this year, too. Here's hoping that it will come to pass!

Here's something crazy...I was told last May by a US spirit's buyer that the Corryvreckan would be a standard expression. This is all getting a bit out of control!!!!

I found the same thing as some of the above posters, on first fresh taste the Corry was kinda blah. Powerful (due to the CS nature) but lacking in complexity or finesse. After a couple of months with a bit of airspace in the bottle I sampled again and was truly impressed. For the cost of exporting to Switzerland, carrying to Germany, having my parents bring it back and sending it to me...it had BETTER BE GOOD! Tasting notes to follow, but I truly hope they give us something as dark and smoky as Corry as a standard offering.
