Ardbeg 1992

Did anyone get the Single Cask Ardbeg from 1992?
184 bottles from cask 772, 55.7%, was sold for £ 192
Availible on the Ardbeg website, Friday the 13th of March.

Seems like it sold out in an instant.
Did anyone here get one?

I was checking the website regularly for this one but it never appeared for me. Then suddenly it was sold out...?....very confused

I didn't hear about it until it was too late, but I am not sure a would have paid almost 200 GBP for it. (perhaps?)
Now available at Ebay for over 500 Euro, which seems way over the top?

I don't get it either. To be honest £40 or £50 is too much for a 15 or 16 old malt too.

Some have too much money and for 560 euros, I would rather buy an old Ardbeg from the 1970s, or a case of Ardbeg IBs :-)

Had a try of this at Easter at the distillery , lovely Ardbeg but not worth the £192 original asking price , my notes......
"Pale Gold in colour , this Ardbeg took a hell of a long time to open up , very reserved , when it did it was very similar to the ANB . The nose was light peat , smoke and creamy fudge . The palate was creamy peat and very smoky , it had a long finish with creamy fudge and peat . Not a bad example of an Ardbeg but is it worth £192 a bottle ? Is any 16yo worth £192 a bottle ? ........No !"

The Toasted Cask Feis Ile Bottle was better......

Perhaps £192 is a lot for a 16 Y.O but as this now fetches £450 + on e bay it doesn't seem too expensive for a single cask bottling with only 184 bottles available.This is obviously one for the collectors rather than the drinkers.
Going by your tasting notes it also sounds like a very good Ardbeg.
