What do you reckon i'll get for this?

Hi all.

A relative bought me a bottle of whisky when i was born in 1978 and i still have it unopened.

Its a Dufftown Glenlivet 8 year old malt.

My question is, even though it is a 8 year old malt, would the additional 30 years make any difference to the price if i chose to sell it?

Alos, any ideas what i'd get for it?

Funny, I had actually had this whisky 6 months ago. You might consider a quick check at Kruger's to see if any of these have been auctioned recently. Secondly, a check at The Whisky Exchange to see if they have any for sale.

If it is a 1 liter, the whisky exchange has one bottled in the 80s for £165.
Would that be the same one, I wouldn't know... but it's a start.

What did you make of it? I tried it many years ago, and remember it as being harsh and metallic.
