Are my valuations close? Selling some bottles....

Postby Cody » Sun Jul 19, 2009 8:50 pm

No sad story here, but it's kinda odd. I started cleaning up my reading area on my side of the bed. As I was putting books away I thought of the chances of me reading them again.... wasn't high. I was surprised to see many of them were out of print and had good value. So I put them up for sale. It's a good feeling to know that someone was happy to get a rare book and will enjoy it. That got me thinking about the my Scotch. I don't plan on drinking these bottles, so I might as well let someone else enjoy them. They were all bought from reputable dealers and have been store in a temperature controlled environment.

The prices are based off what I feel is a great price for the buyer. It would suck if I'm way low and a dealer takes advantage of me. So if you see something that is out of line, please let me know. Also, if I'm way high, feel free to let me know also. I would like these to go to people who appreciate the quality and rarity of a fine scotch. Blended or single malt!

There are lots more pictures for those who are interested. PM me for more information or feel free to email me at codyreich@comcast.net Shipping will be exactly what it cost depending on where you live, no mark up.

CAOL ILA 25 = $155 (2 AVAILABLE)
HIGHLAND PARK 25 = $225
JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE KING GEORGE V 5 = $425
LAPHROAIG 30 YEAR = $265
BENRIACH 21 YEAR = $159
JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE 1,000ml LARGE BOTTLE = $175

Thank you.

I can't say I'm an expert at selling whiskies but some prices seem gentle.. For info, JW blue George V in 750ml is already US 600 in Canada (canadian$ 680)

and seeing you giving your private cellphone and home numbers sends a shiver through my spine. Call me paranoid :? but I think you really should keep these for PMs.

WOW.... I hate to let it go for so little, but I adjusted my price. Can you remember where you saw them going for that much?

Thanks!
