Still a lot of money out there. Considering that the buyer has to pay 20% on top of the hammer price.

I believe the hammer price was £10k. (buyers commision is 17.5% on top of that)

still, beauty is in the eye of the beholder....

Was very surprised with some of the prices being achieved yesterday, and, I am reliably advised, at Bonhams in London.

Some bottles seem to be going for more than they are currently available at retail.

Any ideas what is going on?

Tell me, I won 4 lots 15 JW bottles and for that GB300 just for hammer and VAT + GB45 for internet (?) I was :shock:

£100 looks cheap but....

+buyers premium +VAT +credit card fee +shipping ~ £140

no bargain if you can not attend the auction personally and pay cash.

SO that was the highest price achieved this year ....

We're still waiting for the £100,000+ that was predicted for this year :lol:
