1950s 12oz Mccallums Perfection Scots Whiskey

This I know, a 12oz Bottle of McCallum's "Perfection" Scots Whisky
crossed the Atlantic to Canada on the Empress of France
in a steamer trunk in 1959, it has been there since that time.
The front label has some damage from a 9 year old boy
(me) who discovered it in the trunk in 1969.
It was purchased between 56-59, not sure exactly.

I was wondering what vintage it might be?
Does it have any value? Anyone interested?

Hi Rodercam,

I found McCallum's Perfection mentioned in 2 books. it is described as a standard blend, introduced in 1911 and the brand is now owned by DCL, now Diageo.

It must be older than 3y, because that is legally prescribed.
Since it is a standard blend, it is probably not older than 12y, because usually then it would be called deluxe afaik.

I have no idea about the value, you could check at McTears, they are specialised in whisky auctions.

I read that lots of people enjoy older bottlings, so if you like whisky yourself, why not give it a try?
